We use the effects of Cultural Diplomacy every day.  Think about the yummy  availability of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the year.  Stores like Costco for example follow the in-season harvest times around the world in order to provide great produce even in winter months! How about shopping for,  and purchasing clothes in India and shoes from Italy while buying a rug from China in a 30 minute shopping spree. And all from your computer while in your pajamas at midnight on a cold winter night.   Watching movies about other cultures, music from other cultures, shows us that the world is a big place.  It teaches us that we are not the same but look at how much we gain!
